As Volunteer Coordinator at a museum, I identified a shortage in the amount of volunteers ready to lead tours on the outdoor trail. This skill gap could fail the hundreds of students coming to the trail for a field trip program. In order to develop a qualified volunteer workforce to lead tours—quickly— I developed a phone/tablet friendly digital volunteer guide. With this interactive guide, Volunteers could lead tours without extensive memorization and with a device in hand.
This eLearning course introduces novice musicians to an Irish Session (or seisiún, a casual gathering of musicians who have come together to play traditional Irish music).
